Buckingham Palace Infographic

The main aspect of this project was choosing a historical landmark from anywhere in the world and conducting research on it to in turn create an infographic to make learning more about our landmark more inviting and engaging. I chose Buckingham Palace and I included the history of the landmark and fun facts for tourists to know before going to visit. I wanted to stray away from the traditional red and blue colors which match their flag as it has been done before. I wanted my infographic to be something new which is why I decided to have my background be navy with all the information to be in color which allows the viewer's eyes to bounce back and forth with each section of my poster.

The Introduction

The top part of my infographic is the main component of my poster. I created the palace icon in order to catch the attention of viewers and next to the icon, I chose to include a brief introduction of Buckingham Palace along with a quick fact about the flag that is displayed when the Queen in inside.

The Floorplan

After doing some research on Buckingham Palace, I found that there were two sections within the iconic building that hold a lot of importance. The Ballroom is the largest room in the palace which holds various celebrations. The balcony is the place where the Royal Family makes their appearances to the public.

Fun Facts

This bottom section of the infographic was reserved for quick and easy facts that I found very interesting when I visited Buckingham Palace in 2019. Since I wanted my infographic to be geared more toward tourists, I thought including these facts would be perfect.
